This seminar provides a rapid-fire refresher on ten of the most important and commonly encountered legal principles in personal injury and other tort litigation, such as duty, proximate cause, assumption of risk, joint and several liability, and vicarious liability. The current state of the law, as established both in the seminal Rhode Island Supreme Court decisions and in recent applications, are covered and important statutory modifications to the common law are also addressed.
