Rhode Island statutes and case law still recognize Adverse Possession, although it is fair to say that it is always controversial. The recent RI Superior Court adverse possession decision in Carroll v. Rodriques from Little Compton is an example that will be discussed.
This one-hour workshop will review the basics of Adverse Possession and offer practical pointers for real estate practitioners whose clients may find themselves embroiled in an adverse possession dispute.
