A deposition presents a unique opportunity to obtain important information and assess the performance of a potential witness. This program will focus on depositions within the context of using discovery strategically to create the best chance for a successful outcome at trial or by settlement. The speakers will include a review of the procedural rules governing depositions, the purpose of taking the deposition as part of a discovery plan, and tips and techniques for effective questioning and handling of difficult witnesses or attorneys.
