The establishment of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has resulted in many changes to the real estate industry. The familiar HUD Settlement Statement is being replaced with the new Closing Disclosure, which is an attempt to combine the HUD Settlement Statement with the Truth-in-Lending Disclosure.
