The science and technology involved in DUI cases is rapidly changing. Significant changes in 2015 include: the introduction of the Intoxilyzer 9000 breath testing machine throughout the State; the use of drug recognition experts in addition to the standardized field sobriety tests; and the potential for individuals convicted of drunk driving to obtain a conditional hardship license with the installation of an ignition interlock device.
At this program you will receive both a comprehensive nuts and bolts analysis of the basics of a DUI case and an extensive review of the changing science and technology of a DUI case.
The panelists will address the following:

• Drug Recognition Expert training and testimony at trial;
• The administration of the standardized field sobriety tests;
• Conditional hardship licenses and ignition interlock devices;
• The ability to compel blood samples in DUI cases; and
